Today, First Grade built bridges! They were given 10 straws, 10 index cards, and as much tape as needed to build a structure that could hold a cup of counting blocks. The students loved it, even though some found out it was harder than they thought!✨

In art class, our 5th graders have been channeling their inner Vincent van Gogh! 🎨 Students explored bold colors and textures to paint their own stunning sunflower still lifes. 🌻
Our 6th graders spent a fantastic day yesterday exploring the Wildcat Hills! Students learned about Nebraska's tree and plant life, identified local tree species, planted Mountain Mahogany, and even got hands-on with technology firefighters use to fight wildfires.
A favorite highlight of the day was taking a group hike through the beautiful trails of the Wildcat Hills! 🌲🥾🔥

In observance of 9/11 and to honor Banner County’s own first responders, JAG students created a banner featuring red bandanas—inspired by the Welles Crowther story—reflecting on what honor and courage mean to them.
Chief Deputy Scott visited the 7th-grade JAG class to share his experiences as a first responder, and high school students later presented the banner to the team at the Courthouse. Thank you for your service! ❤️
